Judge FAQs

Want to know more about the judging process, common questions from applicants and how and when we award grants? Answers to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below may help.

How much time do I have to review my applications?

You have until 5pm on Monday 26 June to review your applications.

How many people will judge each application?

Each application will be assessed by three Round 1 judges, and will also be reviewed by the AMP Foundation team. The AMP Foundation also sends select applications to subject matter experts in the fields of technology, film, music, environment and medical research.

What if I know one of the applicants I have been assigned?

If you know a candidate well (i.e. they are a good friend, former or present colleague or a family member) in the interests of fairness and transparency please email amp_foundation@amp.com.au to declare this. Of course, the world being a small place it is possible you may know a candidate through a remote connection. We are most concerned about cases where there is a clear conflict of interest (ie. your relationship potentially impacts your ability to impartially assess a candidate).

How do I find out more about a candidate?

We’ve asked candidates to provide online links that help tell their story (i.e. Facebook, blogs, Twitter). Please check these thoroughly. In addition, a Google search of the person’s name can also provide more information on a candidate (such as news stories about their achievements) and help to determine if this is someone who could represent AMP. If you uncover relevant information, make a respectful note in the comments section.

Please do not contact your candidates for more information.

What if I have questions or need help?

If you need assistance or have any questions – technical or otherwise – please email amp_foundation@amp.com.au or call (02) 9257 5334  during business hours.
