Anabelle Smith

Prahan, Victoria

Synchronised diver, Olympian

Anabelle started diving when she was 11. By the time she turned 23, she had represented Australia at two Olympics – winning a bronze at Rio 2016 with her synchronised diving partner Maddison Keeney. Believing hard work breeds success, Anabelle trains 30 hours a week at the Victorian Institute of Sport, backed up by physiotherapy, remedial massage, pilates, yoga and recovery sessions. On top of her regular travels to Brisbane to train with her diving partner, the sports science graduate also makes time to speak at schools. Anabelle hopes to inspire more young Australians by bringing home gold from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
