Brandon Tomic

North Lake, Western Australia

Small businessman, role model

Brandon is a young man with autism who is shredding stereotypes and making a difference. The paper shredding and recycling business he set up in the family garage is not only providing an income, but also connecting him to his community. The majority of his 150 customers, who are small-to-medium sized businesses, did not have a paper recycling program until Brandon offered his service – and it’s estimated that together they are saving 100 trees a month. Brandon markets his services through word of mouth and letterbox drops, and also by selling quirky products made from recycled paper at local markets.
