James Reynolds

Pambula, New South Wales

Disability advocate, athlete

Born with severe scoliosis and multiple physical disabilities, James is an avid lawn bowler with a strong community spirit. Working as a disability support officer in a small town on the far South Coast, he wants to show his clients and small community that big things can be achieved regardless of disability or distance. Sport has been James’s passion – as a competitor, a mentor and as a coach. He will use his grant to travel to events that will hopefully lead him to the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. “I want to inspire and help others to achieve their own goals in life, particularly those with disabilities or life barriers. I want them to believe that nothing is impossible.”
