Support network founder

When Samantha miscarried for a second time, she found there was nowhere to turn for support. This led the business development specialist to co-found the Pink Elephants Support Network – a name inspired by the fact that when an elephant loses a baby, the herd forms a circle of support around her. As well as building awareness about miscarriage and fertility issues, the network runs a peer phone support program that connects trained ‘ambassadors’ who have experienced such loss with someone in the early stages of grief – with both parties benefitting. Sam wants to ensure the 103,000 Australian couples who experience miscarriage each year are surrounded with a #circleofsupport.
