Stewart McSweyn

King Island, Tasmania

Future Olympian, runner

Stewart built up his middle-distance legs running around in the fresh air of his family’s cattle farm. Since joining the Melbourne Track Club in 2016, the young runner has proved himself at home and internationally. Stewart had a spectacular 2018 becoming the second-fastest Australian to run 3km at the 2018 Rabat Diamond League event in Morocco. Guided by former Cathy Freeman coach Nic Bideau, the teaching graduate is hoping to run for Australia at the Tokyo Olympic Games and inspire the next generation through sport and education.
