Bridget’s product, Hydrapep, was inspired by her time as a hospital physiotherapist. It allows patients to blow bubbles into the water, creating therapeutic pressure in the lungs and airways. Hydrapep is based on simple home-made devices originally used by physiotherapists to help people with respiratory conditions to keep their airways open and clear. When hospitals banned the use of home-made versions, Bridget saw the opportunity to manufacture a medical-grade device and it is now sold to hospital, clinics and individuals. This grant will help Bridget produce an upgraded model.
