Bronwyn Covill

Brighton, Victoria

Educator, entrepreneur

As the mother of a child with dyslexia, Bronwyn founded Need A Tutor to provide online support to children with learning disabilities. However, when the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation started accessing the service, she realised there was a need for literacy and numeracy tutoring in rural and remote Indigenous communities. Bronwyn’s social enterprise now works with a range of charities to tutor Indigenous students across the nation, safely connecting young people with experienced educators. With online learning now widespread, Bronwyn believes Need A Tutors’ personalised approach has great potential to engage more young learners and strengthen communities across the land.
