Inventor, aged care innovator

Having watched his own father struggle during his time in an aged care facility, Frank became passionate about helping people maintain their dignity while in care, and making it safer for aged care workers to fulfil their duties. A physiotherapist working in aged care, he has invented a safer, cheaper, easier-to-use sling to lift elderly people. This sling caters for a wide range of conditions, including for those clients with or without trunk control. Due to the sling’s unique design, aged care homes will only require one sling rather than multiple designs, while at the same time eliminating the risk of a resident slipping through the sling, eliminating operator error, reducing workplace lifting accidents and improving infection control. “This sling will make a big difference to clients and workers in aged care.”
