Miranda started Perform-Ability in 2009 - a dance, music and drama program for people with disabilities. It now offers 11 programs across the nation that are tailored to help students build confidence and wellbeing through the performing arts. Miranda carefully directs every aspect of Perform-Ability – from creating their instructor courses to working with experts to tailor classes for students’ particular needs. Perform-Ability originally trialled online classes for a student who could not attend in person, but the COVID pandemic led to widespread demand for virtual classes. Miranda is using her grant to develop DanceBop! which is the world's first inclusive YouTube Channel designed to engage, inspire and educate children of all abilities through original music and dance.
