This chef’s dedication to reconciliation through food stems from a family secret revealed when he was 12. While visiting an uncle in rural Victoria, Zach learnt his grandmother had Aboriginal heritage. He did not get the chance to fully connect to culture after school, but is now committed himself to sharing native recipes and trying to provide opportunities for Aboriginal workers. Zach is planning to share his native food as widely as possible and provide training for young people from the juvenile justice system.
